Friends, Afghanistan is going to hell in a handbasket. Expect major attacks on Kabul, the only government-controlled area, within the next two months. Earlier, I had predicted that the Taliban would return to power within two years. I am now prepared to advance that date, but am extremely fearful of the bloodshed in the interim.
