Jumblatt parading in the Neocon’s nest

As sectarian tensions mount, AEI [American Enterprise Institute] will host Lebanese parliament member Walid Jumblatt, a leader of the Cedar Revolution, who will talk about these pressing issues.

That’s being held today at Wohlstetter Conference Center, Twelfth Floor, AEI
1150 Seventeenth Street, N.W., Washington, D.C.
Maybe you could go Apo and tell us what absurdities our Druze ex-warlord-still-oligarch-exploiting-sectarian-divisions has to say on the “future of Lebanon”?

  1. the mullahs of iran are no better than the neocons. So why be biased?
So if obe groups uses Iran and its support to bully one half of lebanon. Why should not the other side get some big powerful friends to back them up.

  2. No, I won’t go. I saw him last year and he was very unimpressive. I dont know if he is getting old, but he has adopted the style of the hawkish Israelis when visiting the US. That is, he just repeats inflammatory banalities because he knows no one will call him on it. I think he is bored when he comes here or talks to western journalists in Mukhtara: no energy, no flair, no effort: just boilerplate b.s.
