Energetic friendship

A pipeline that will be established between Ceyhan and Ashkelon will transport natural gas, water, oil and electricity at the same time.

Turkish Energy Minister Hilmi Guler went to Israel at the invitation of his colleague Benjamin Ben Eliezer and evaluated the feasibility studies for the project.

After the project is completed it will transport four types of energy between the two countries.

I don’t really get it… Will the pipeline pass by the sea? Energy experts to the rescue.

  1. if it does pass under the sea, a logical waypoint may be Turkish Cyprus.

The Turks in Cyprus will definitely appreciate the gas they would get from such an arrangement if it were to materialize.

  2. Not so fast, there is a lot of money to be made before we concern ourselves with whether or not it will actually get built.
