		<description>Curious. I&#039;d always thought that Hezbollah emerged from Amal as a response to the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982, not to the excesses of the LF.

As to the &#039;we are the Lebanese resistance&#039; line, it&#039;s quite simply a quote from a speech made by BGemayel during the war. Beyond reaffirming BG&#039;s semi-divine within the ranks it&#039;s obviously being used today to imply that the the Kataeb, not Hezbollah (that &#039;other&#039; resistance) are the &#039;real&#039; defenders of Lebanon.</description>
